XIVa: My Mother’s Bones and Museum
I have come across a museum that is like an archeological dig. There is an ancient boat in the ground. Everything is covered in dust and sand. I step onto the bottom of the upside down boat. As I look around this site I see that there are many interesting clay tablets in the sand. It is a marvelous place of mystery and discovery.
I go to an old house to pick up some things that belonged to my mother. I wrap a small skeleton up in a cloth wondering if she had ever had an abortion. There are many objects that I carefully put in my backpack. There is a seated bear and some feathers, prayer sticks. These are sacred objects. I wonder about my mother’s past.
