VIII: Meeting Hillman and War
I become aware of airplanes in the distance. Then the whole sky becomes crowded with them. They are headed to some part of the country beyond the hills. There is a sense of doom and danger. Whatever is going on over there is very dangerous and I can't help but wonder if this is going to be the “Big One.” A persona meets Madeline’s dream.
Richard and I are in a small town where we are meeting with James Hillman. Richard has been here before and Hillman asked him if he had ever stayed in a particular hotel. Then we are at a school sitting talking with Hillman. It is time for us to leave and I put on my coat and my rosary beads. As Richard and I walk past the bookstore we stop to look at a funny drawing that is in the window. Then I remember that Hillman gave us a package. We sit on a park bench to open it. I think that it will be a book, but instead it is a collection of photos of paintings. Some by famous artists, others by ordinary people doing art related to their psychological work. We need to get to the airport now. I again put on my coat and rosary beads.
